Bow-lletins is a digital bulletin board platform designed for UH Mānoa students and affiliates. It helps students, organizations, clubs, and campus groups discover and share important opportunities such as jobs, internships, study groups, events, and deadlines in one centralized, searchable space.
Students at UH Mānoa often miss valuable opportunities because campus announcements are scattered across physical bulletin boards, social media, email, and word of mouth. Bow-lletins addresses this problem by providing a single, organized platform where users can easily find and post relevant campus information.
Instead of missing events or opportunities due to outdated flyers or limited visibility, students can stay informed in real time. By centralizing campus announcements, Bow-lletins ensures that more students have equal access to opportunities and can stay connected to the UH Mānoa community.
This application will be built using Next.js, React, Bootstrap 5, and GitHub for hosting and collaboration.
The “special sauce” of Bow-lletins is its interactive and personalized user experience. Each user has an account that allows them to save posts, react anonymously, comment, and RSVP to events. These features create a more engaging and community-driven platform compared to traditional static bulletin boards.
Additionally, an AI-assisted flyer generator helps users create polished flyers even if they lack design experience, making posting easier and more inclusive.
